Regardless of the different types of music I’ve been listening too, the different genres, and scenes, I still have a Top 5 that has yet to change. Even when I haven’t listened to their music in a while and revisit it still gives me the joy that got when I first heard their music.
For me I’ll say it easier to do a Top 5 list of your favorite artist than a Top 10 or 20 because than you don’t know where to rank the artist and why they deserve such ranking. Which is why I stuck with just 5. Even in my 5 some artist move around but overall it’s been the same 5 artist all these years. And now I’ll be presenting My Top 5 favorite artists in order:

Now let me explain, so I know Kanye is kinda crazy. He’s got issues and can’t stop presenting them to the world. Do I agree with what he has to say? No. Do I still enjoy his music? Yes. I separate the Art from the Artist because everyday you found out something new about your favorite artist that will make you look bad for just enjoying there music. Lots of these celebrities are also crazy, with a history they rather keep in the dark, and whatever weird stuff they do behind the scenes they make sure to keep a lid on it.
Ok anyways rank over, but Kanye is the only artist on my Top 5 list that keeps his spot. Tyler and Travis frequently swat depending on their latest drop and if I enjoy or not, and how it affects their discography (music catalog). Considering that Tyler and Travis both take forever to release albums I’d say Travis as of recently is held on to that the second place spot just due to me enjoying his older work more than I enjoy Tyler’s older work.
Uzi and Carti are kinda in the same boat but not really, you see while Uzi has a longer discography Carti’s unreleased works allow to still maintain a fight but here’s the thing Uzi too has a large body of unreleased work too. Not to mention in just pure skill and talent Uzi just excels way above Carti, even when it comes to presently and character I’d say Uzi is better (if you disregard their charges).
